2772 Each of the SGT’s vines grabs a handful of crystals, steadily reducing the supply, when the mysterious man proposes a truce, not wanting to benefit Purgatory City. LYJ demands a split of 7:3, with Crafty Thorn taking 70% when the man counters by offering her 60% and taking 400,000 crystals. Listening in, SL rushes to grab more crystals, as LYJ negotiates for the man to take a flat 400,000 crystals regardless of the size of the deposit. By the time Crafty Thorn starts digging, SL has already hollowed out the mine and tunnelled away.

2773 SL now has 7-800,000 crystals, taking 99.99% from the large vein. SL hides 5 pitch black bombs around the deposit before teleporting away. Sensing energy fluctuations, LYJ rushes the men to dig faster, wanting to reach the crystals before the Demonic Clan notices. Realizing she wants to renege on the agreement, the Crafty Thorn members disdain having such a deceitful person as their leader. Wanting to speed things up, LYJ personally starts to dig with all her strength, when the ground explodes.

2774 Soil starts flying through the air, as the earth parts like a sinkhole. Crafty Thorn members start to scream, when they see LYJ buried in the soil. LYJ screeches that the deposit is empty, as her followers gawk at her messy and dishevelled state. Having personally scanned the area, LYJ is certain it was filled with crystals, when she recalls the bear man who had started the fight, hollering at the Demonic Clan for taking all the crystals, and commanding her men to attack them.

2775 LYJ feels humiliated when all she finds are a few thousand crystals, while the mysterious man and the Demonic Clan had already left the area. Meanwhile, SL had taken 800,000 crystals, the LSF had 200,000 and the SGT had taken 500,000. The little dragon arrives, carrying a pouch with 400,000 crystals, giving SL 1.9 million. Combined with her previous crystals, she now has 2.1 million. Fearing the 7th elder or LLM would take the WSW to prevent her from advancing, SL rushes back to the old man’s prize shop.

2776 Watching the old man snub SL, the mini Bai Zhe reveals his fondness for tea. Recalling the Divine Fairy Tea in her space (chapter 2126), SL places a packet in front of him. The old man snatches it in a flash, giving SL a 20% discount for being the first to redeem when she gives him a second. Delighted, SL prompts the Bai Zhe for more hints, and he mentions the old man’s grandson has Fire and Wind attributes and needs a toy. SL gives the old man her Fire and Wind Rings (chapter 1963), and her discount increases to 30%.

2777 The Bai Zhe mentions the old man is his dedicated steward, and would also accept what the Bai Zhe likes, including drawings of himself. Taking out her pen and paper, SL sketches an exact replica of the Bai Zhe. The old man stares at the painting in shock, as the Bai Zhe continuously praises it. Before the old man can speak, SL embellishes it with a more powerful physique. While the Bai Zhe isn’t as fond of it, the old man’s eyes light up, telling SL she only needs to pay 60%, even extending the discount to all her purchases.

2778 More people start to gather and are stunned to hear SL’s discount. The Black Jade is now 3 million, the Luminous Night Pearl is 1.8, while the WSW is 1.2 million. SL redeems the WSW, giving the old man a storage item and the 1.2 million crystals to prevent bystanders from seeing what she bought. The PIF had lined up behind SL, acting amiable as she asks the old man for a discount, not knowing SL had used the DFT to soften him. When the old man acts aloof, CXY urges her to bribe him, and she takes out her favourite weapon, only for him to toss it aside and dismiss her. The PIF is infuriated by his favouritism and storms off, while the crowd condemns the PIF for her behaviour.

2779 Several others try to bribe the old man, only to be refused each time, with few actually exchanging items. Meanwhile, SL still needs 4.8 million for the Black Jade and Luminous Night Pearl but only has 900,000 crystals. No longer interested in small and medium deposits, SL heads to the north west, shaking off those following her until only 3 remain – LXF, the Crafty Thorn Captain and the grandfather rhino.

2780 When SL arrives at the deposit, she disappears in a flash. Her 3 pursuers are furious at losing her, despite being stronger, when they notice the crystal deposit. Since their alliance is only tentative, the captain suggests splitting up to look for SL, as they fly away and start madly digging by themselves. The mini Bai Zhe remarks with disdain, but SL tells him not to rush.
